Admissions

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. 

Reception Class Admissions

 

Children start at Bentley St Paul’s C of E Primary School in the September after their fourth birthday. We currently admit 30 children per year.

 

Admissions for Reception Class places are dealt with by the Local Authority. Essex County Council does not send letters to parents/carers about making an application. All of the application information is available on the website https://www.essex.gov.uk/apply-for-a-primary-school-place.

 

The Admissions Arrangements and Supplementary Information Form (SIF) can be found below.

SIF forms should be returned to school by the closing date. 

 

Mid-Year Admissions

 

A mid-year admission application should be made if you are looking to change your child's school during the school year.

 

If you are considering moving your child to Bentley St Paul's, please take a look around the website to learn more about our school. You are also welcome to call or email the office to arrange a visit which should help you to decide if this is the right school for your child. 

 

Please be aware that your child is not guaranteed a place at your preferred school. You should not remove your child from their school before you have received another offer.

Register of Interest

 

If you would like your child to join the school, but, through an application have established that there are no spaces in the year group, you may wish to join the Register of Interest. 

 

To do so, please email admin@bentley-st-pauls.essex.sch.uk detailing your child's name, date of birth and your current address. 

 

We ask you to contact the school TERMLY to remain on the Register of Interest and to advise of any change in circumstances (such as a new address). Please use the email address above, or phone the school office on 01277 372295.

Our admission arrangements are available below however, our admissions officer is happy to explain our admissions criteria further.  For pupils joining at any other time apart from when they are four years old, the mid-year admissions procedure should be followed.
