On Tuesday we had a football match which was against West Horndon. We won 5-0 and the scorers were Blake, Max, Caleb and Sydney got a two.
Highlights
Caleb's goal: Caleb's goal was very good since he went around two defenders and placed it in the far bottom corner!
Max scored an amazing goal since it was a volley from the halfway line - which went into the top corner!
Sydney's 1st goal was great since it was a goal in the first minute!
Blake's goal came from a brilliant long ball from Sonny - Blake calmly finished it!
There was also some brilliant defending from Sonny, Kian, Gabriel and Tommy. Logan managed to keep a clean sheet with his amazing goalkeeping.
We all had a brilliant time!

On Tuesday we played West Horndon at Ashwells. we started warming up by practicing corners, shooting and passing. As the game started, we got an early goal. After a few minutes we scored another by a half volley from the halfway line. Then after a few minutes of battling we got through on goal and scored a goal to make it 3-0. As the half way whistle blew, we cheered after a dominant first half by us. As we kicked off for the second half, we had a few minutes without a goal, but we soon broke and had a cross and another goal scored by Bentley. A little while after we finally had another chance to score and we did. It took a little while for the goal to occur but we all worked our hardest. When the final whistle blew, we shook hands with the other players and then celebrated our victory!

U11’s Girls Football vs. West Horndon
We warmed up by taking shot and passing the ball around the field. On Tuesday, at Ashwells, we played one match, in the first half we unfortunately didn’t score a goal (but neither did they), leaving us on 0-0. As we started the second half, we got an early tap in by Amelie. We then scored another goal by Daisy and were extremely happy! Olivia in year 5 brilliantly saved many shots, but most didn’t get to her because Gracie booted the ball away! By the end of the match, we scored 6 whopping goals. Many thanks to all of the parents who supported us! We were extremely happy to win 6-0! Thank you!Gracie and Olivia Y5U11’s FootballOn Tuesday, the girls and the boys went out to play West Horndon at Old Brentwoods. It was a seven a side match and the girls had three subs. We had a hockey festival on Monday playing against lots of different schools, (St. Thomas', Doddinghurst ect.). First we had a couple of practice sessions like:
Controlling/shooting
Bulldog/tackling
Passing/controlling
Dribbling through cones
After we started the matches, there were four different levels, Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales:
Scotland: This was the aim to get to if you won all of your matches.
England: This was the second best level, but if you lost your match then you went down to Ireland.
Ireland: This was the second to last section then there was Wales - the last one.
We started at Ireland but then we moved down to Wales - but we got back to Ireland again when we won our match!
