Year 5 Greek Day

On Wednesday, Class 5 had an ancient Greek Day. A nice man came in and discussed the Greeks with us, along with showing us many artefacts. There was acting, learning, games and excitement throughout the whole day. We had so much fun!. At the end we were allowed to participate in our own Olympic games which was very fun. We broke into two teams and had a foam javelin competition- one team the Athenians and the other Spartans- the Athenians won! Before we went out to do the Olympic games, we got to touch and wear the helmets, hold a viper and look at many more things. When acting, we got to wear cool stuff, like funny glasses, crowns and even masks. We also got to see the real ancient Greek map! The day was excellent! We even got to go outside to create a timeline and have a fashion catwalk!
