Year 6 Visit to the Houses of Parliament
We went on an educational trip to Parliament, it was very exciting. We started our journey at Shenfield station and travelled to Liverpool street, we then got a tube to Tower Hill. Whilst we were there we saw Tower of London and ate our snacks. Then we went back on the tube to Westminster. In the Houses of Parliament we had tour guides called Sarah and Janet who told us all about the building. We listened to her via a headset. We learnt lots of facts and history about the Houses of commons and Lords. After the tour we got to sit in the gallery whilst the house of Commons were sitting. Then we went to the park, but on the way we saw the horse guards. We had lunch in the park and we were joined by Mr. Pickett as a surprise. We loved to see him! We buried Caleb in the leaves and avoided the seagulls! We went shopping on the way back to the station, we went to a sweet shop and a gift shop! Then we travelled back to Shenfield to meet our adults! It was a really incredible trip.
