Transporting Water
Today, we will be learning about how plants transport water! There is an activity sheet below for everyone to have a go at (this will be explained in our live lesson!)
Then, if you would like to, you can also complete the experiment seen in the powerpoint. This is where you can fill up 5 cups of water, pop 5 drops of food colouring into each one, pop a plant in there (a flower, or even celery too!) and then place them in places where the temperature varies. You could use the fridge, a table and near a radiator. The idea of this is to see and observe how temperature affects a plants ability to transport water! This is not compulsory but simply an idea to make Science slightly more active and investigative!
