Writing Help from Parents Evening

Below are some documents which we may have discussed during parents evening.

There is a story writing prompt sheet with lots of pictures (both funny and bizarre!) to get those story writing minds going. Sentence structure is key when writing an effective story so please encourage your children to plan their work, and read it as they write also. Punctuation is also key so please ensure they are using capital letters and full stops. 

There is also a common exception word mat and phonics mats too. These can be used in any way you like whether it be to support their writing practise or simply to do quick 5-minute quizzes on! The choice is yours!
