Dear Parents and children
Welcome back! On this page you will find lots of information about what we will be learning this year as well as teaching resources and activities. I will be putting these up weekly so that you can use them for home learning if for any reason any child can not attend school (or we all can't!).
The main three tabs below will remain at the top of the page so that they are readily available:
Class information; you will find the termly curriculum letters and termly topic webs which give you an insight as to what your children are learning. I will also put any letters that are sent out via email about the class in here too.
#mylearning; you will find the each terms #mylearning grid as well any worksheets from the grid that your child wishes to complete.
Our Gallery; you will see pictures and videos of #mylearning completed by the children as well as pictures and videos of what we have been getting up to in school. This is your page, so I can't wait to post work that needs celebrating up there!
Spellings; these will be in the Spellings folder below like last term. In each of your child's reading journal, you will find the level of spellings we would like them to try. This is certainly not fixed in stone and as they improve, we look forward to challenging them more!
If you have any queries, worries or just want a chat, please don't hesitate to contact me on my e-mail or through teams and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can.
I can't wait for a really fun and exciting term ahead with you!
Take care
Mrs Woodward

Helpful bits and bobs!
In this folder are a range of activities, timetables and websites I have found which could be useful. I will upload anything I think could be of use in here so make sure you are checking it regularly.
School Closure- A Note From Me To You- 20th March 2020
Hello hello fabulous parents of Year 2!
Starting from tomorrow evening when we close, the best form of contact will be the Class 2 email you were given in the original school closure protocol letter. This is where I will be sending out work for each week and where you will be able to contact me.
Below I have attached a letter which explains my plan for the foreseeable future and will hopefully answer any questions you may have about how learning from home is going to work and how I plan on providing the work! I will warn you, it is a long read but I really do hope it answers any queries and can help put your minds at rest (it also has a picture of a pug at the end!)

I will be sending out next week's work tomorrow via email (20th March 2020) which is where you will receive the maths and English for next week, the topic learning map, reading comprehensions and extra challenges too! This email is also where you can contact me easily!
One last thing (I promise).
I found this and thought it might be useful; it is a provisional timetable for home schooling children. It involves a structured time for exercise, chores (don't tell the kids I said that!), education, down time and more! You know your children best but I saw this and thought it could be of help at times!
Hope this all makes sense! Don't hesitate to contact me if you need to!
Love,
Miss Richards
